Each year Twyford supports the technical aspect of the Sing Gospel event held in St. Mary’s Church in Acton. The evening consists of a 90 minute performance with a 20 minute interval in the middle of it. This year the Sing Gospel choir was the only choir to perform with only an outside guest singer coming in. There was no other external choirs which performed.
We were amazingly lucky this year as PRG and Ambersphere hooked us up with some amazing deals for lighting fixtures and consoles. We managed to get 6 GLP Spot Ones and 6 GLP Wash Ones from PRG which both are amazing fixtures. However the Wash Ones really packed a punch in the venue with their 400w LED engine and a zoom ranging from 60 degrees to an incredible 3 degrees. The GLP Wash Ones really stole the show. From Ambersphere I was extremely lucky to be supported by them for the two weeks. Since I did my MA console training back in August of 2015, they have really help me explore the world of lighting and gotten behind me when I need the help. Thor from Ambersphere allowed us to demo the new DOT2 console which had only been released two months before and had its UK debut at Plasa in October. In November we were able to get our hands on one and try it for ourselves. And it is an incredible desk! Such an easy learning curve and very quick to get your rig off the ground and lighting. I did a whole review about the Dot2 based on this SingGospel event and the 2015 PMC event which you can check out by clicking the photo link below.
